11.2 Authority to Commit (11320m)

Share with a friend

Where the Request for Quotation has occurred in Muli Estimating, the S/C Quotation analysis would provide the data displayed here for the Project Manager to formally request approval to commit to prepare the s/c and have the subcontract signed.

Muli treats the Authority to Commit as a “Management Process” and it is therefore managed within a “Risk2Do” item contained in the cost allocation where the resulting subcontract / purchase order is to be created.

In the longer term, the Risk2Do item will be created to manage the extended process of:-

  • “Request for Quotation”
  • “Quotation Analysis”
  • “Authority to Commit”

NOTE:

In Muli,

  • “Tender” refers to quotations we give to others
  • “Quotation” is incoming to us
  • “Variation” is a change to Head Contract
  • “Amendment” is change to Subcontract or Supplier
