17.7 Controlled Object Projects Maintenance (17201m)
It will be released in the next version.
The Document Register provides a simple means of registering and controlling the receipt, issue and status of drawings/documents to and from Clients' Consultants, Subcontractors and Site.
With Issue I this system has had a major revision allowing for greater variation in the numbering system of Responsible Person (for maintenance) and approval of document to be recorded in line with Quality Assurance system requirements.
Prior to using the Document Register, the User needs to review the standard defaults and prompts to confirm they are suitable for his mode of business

Document Project Number (6N)
Must be a valid project in the Project Master File. -
Document Tye Control
Must be an authorised code from the Document Control System, i.e. ARC = Archtiect -
Document Number (8#A)
The sequential number allocated by the Consultant/ Designer to the relevant document. Note:
- The first part of the document number (being the Consultants Project No.) is not used, only the Sequence Number within the project.
- The Consultants' project # may be located in the Description or Remarks area if required.

Description (A#50)
A free format desription of the scope of the document. -
Document Maintenance (6A#)
This is the code for someone in the Document User File who is responsible for the creation and ongoing maintenance of the document. -
Document Size
The document size comes from Document Controls 8.15 and represents the drawing size and/or type, i.e. A4 = this sized sheet of paper. -
Remarks (50A#)
A free format field that appears on Document Status Report and Master File at start up this is not Maintained but left blank updated by the receipt and issue of Documents. -
Approver (4)
With Issue IA the Approver Code allows the registration and monitoring of the person responsible for the QA approval of any changes to the document. -
-16. Status (1 to 9)
The displayed status descriptors will depend on each user through the Document Controls Maintenance. Normally, you need no enter the status on initial entry of documents as Documents Receipts and Transmittals will update the field.
