The Muli Approach

Muli's approach is to use use proven solutions in all Muli Linux Accounting Software installations.

In theory there are many ways Muli could be installed - different variations of the Linux operating system, different utilities, vaying locations, and various options - however Muli tries to control as many variables as possible, to reduce the probability of system malfunction or performance degeneration.

Muli has chosen to run with the Ubuntu distribution of Linux and expects that Ubuntu is installed natively onto the server as a platform for Kernal-based Virtual Machines (KVM).

Muli is installed as 4 virtual machines:-

  1. Muli Application (runtime PostgreSQL database)
  2. LibreOffice and managed data file storage.
  3. Shared files + Mail
ASCI file backup of PGDUMP (Postgresql database)
  4. Provision for IP Phone
