5507.2 What is backed up and how

  1. The operating system for the server and virtual is not backed up. These are directly recreated and brought up to date using the Puppet utility.

  2. Muli application software is not backed up, it is restored and brought up to date using the Puppet utility.

  3. The PostgreSQL database is dumped to a a ASCI flat file using PGDUMP. This can occur on a operating database but it is not recommended. This flat file is then stored in a Separate storage partition.

  4. Muli Manage the following data as files.

    1. Open Office Documents

    2. Photo's

    3. Scanned incoming documents 

    4. Digital documents such as PDF's

    5. Shared directory for:

      1. import and export from Muli

      2. User data file stored on a project basis
