5507.4 Backup Solution A

  1. Traditionally Muli has used tape drives (Tandberg) they are expensive.

  2. The economical solution is Removable USB hard drives.

  3. At the lowest level backup may be achieved by using a set of 5 separate mediums.

    1. 3 - are rotated each day A,B,C

    2. 2 - one for Odd month & 1 for Even month - a backup is taken each month on same day using the odd or even device

  4. Another approach uses 7 mediums  - (Mon to Fri) + 2
