5412.1 Scanning Summary

Muli has run a Proof of Solution using:

• Canon Scanning font 22P standalone A4 colour duplex network document scanner, approx. cost $AUD 2796 including GST.

OTHER OPTION:

• Fijitsu 600N $AUD 4478 excluding GST

The Muli Network Scanning solution:

1. will be based on a Fujitsu FI6240 flat bed/ADF Colour duplex scanner and Linux utilities

2. will be a Stage 3 release

3. will use an incoming directory YY/minput/scanner1/XXX

4. will scan the document, allow for selection/de-selection of pages (e.g. we do not really need to have a copy of the Terms & Conditions on the back of an invoice)

5. will use the standard encoding CCITG4 (fax standard)

6. will use an optical character recognition application to convert the bit map to text that can be edited, indexed, searched or copied.
